Resutaurant City: "BUY INGREDIENTS" new feature!

Here's the best new feature in Playfish's best Facebook application: Restaurant City. No, kids, it's not a trick, it's not even a hack! They finally created a Merchant character available.

Where to find the ingredients? Just zoom out and look at the top corner of your own restaurant, the long haired Asian merchant is right there!

And yes, I do reach 50.0 popularity (= perfect) even though I do not apply the island layout. So stop bothering me. And YES, I am THAT poor right now.

What's the catch?

This innocent looking non-tax-paying sari-sari store is HIGH WAY ROBBERY. You have to be filthy rich in order to avail of his ingredients... but who's complaining? It's either you let luck find you or you scout for ingredients among your 50 friends with no guarantee that they'd give it anyway?

Also, there are only three available ingredients a day so you better make sure that you check it out daily to make sure you don't miss out on those hard to find tomatoes :D

  1. Hey there! That's really neat! I play RC a lot and I think the game is going to get a bit easier now that you can buy ingredients!

  3. Yes they are :P I think the Merchant was created for the "desperate" those who REALLY need the ingredients but have no way of getting them (because only a few of their friends are playing, etc)

  9. im on level 14 and i have 45,000. getting money is so addicting because whenever i try to buy something, i always think that i'll be poor afterwards, which i wont and its so frustrating.
one of my friends went from level 9 to level 27 in 2 days;is that even possible?

  10. @Jenny it took me more than a week to reach level27 -- maybe your friend kept the application open on facebook the whole week even when he slept? That increases gourmet points. However, 2 days is still too short to finish 8 levels straight. That's pretty amazing.

  13. Here's a look at what I do when I'm not on facebook!

It is best to note that most people go on facebook when they're online - and not the other way around. Many employees spend so much time in front of computers, it's a necessity to have a break and facebook offers that kind of relaxation :)

  17. The price on an ingredient in the Market Place corresponds to only one piece. However, you may buy as many as you would like :)
