Cow's Brain for Dinner

It was my first time to eat cow brain soup but not my first time to eat brain - Mr. Kebab in Quezon City Ave. serves ox brain with lime and garlic sauce.

Whoa! You're so brave! I don't think I'll be able to eat this one. Ano yung lasa?

Waaah garlic.Sawa na ako sa garlic x.x

I was just wondering, what's the texture of brain like? Grainy/powdery, smooth, ...?

@MM M - the taste is very "generic". It's not really something awfully weird. It's very similar to the taste of bone marrow (which is common in Bulalo :D)

@Loki - the texture... like bone marrow but 50% more solid. It doesn't erode. I think it also has something to do with how it was cooked. It's smooth, not grainy nor powdery.

Cool! Seems good if it's similar to bone marrow.

I guess yeah, it may also depend on how it's cooked. I don't like liver because of the texture but Foie gras is ok.

@gamusgalis di pa ko sigurado kung pano kita mabibigyan. di ko alam kung ano shelf-life kapag cooked at baka naman kasi durog na rin paguwi ko. baka meron din nagbebenta sa Tarlac?

@Loki ayaw ko liver dahil sa lasa LOL I don't care much about the texture... or maybe I do because I don't like sponge cake.

Ay kaso di rin ako kumakain ng bone marrow. Hehe. Pero interesting na rin na maka-try for the sake of trying. Hehe.
