My brother uses floral handkerchiefs, he says it's his style. So the first time I saw a guy holding a lady's bag, I thought it was a fashion sense/statement. Then I saw his girlfriend. The bag was like 6 x 10 inches. It couldn't have held anything so heavy that a girl couldn't carry. I'm guessing that all it had in it was the girl's cellphone, her chapstick, and her wallet.
So why would her boyfriend carry it for her?? Do we look so frail that we couldn't even carry our own purse? I bet that boyfriend wouldn't even automatically offer a hand to his mom if he saw her carrying her groceries. That's also something I've been witnessing in the mall often nowadays. Now THAT's unacceptable. You see your mom carrying a heavy grocery bag and you don't offer help just so it wouldn't mess with your get up. You think THAT's cool? That's embarassing. Girls frown on that. And believe it or not, we notice THAT first before we check out if you actually look cool or not. If you DON'T look cool, well too bad for you, you just became butt ugly. If you DO look cool, then even worse for you because you just made yourself look like an ass. At least the butt ugly guy was probably butt ugly to begin with. If you're actually good looking, you just messed up your chance of getting appreciated.
Next time your girlfriend has a handbag, let her carry it for herself. It'll even save her the trouble of having to get it from you everytime she needs something from it. Help an old lady with her heavy stuff instead, you'd look 10 times more good looking than you actually are.
Now, girlfriends, if you do have a handbag, don't hand it to your man. You're wrecking everything our ancestors did to give us a good position in society. You're making everyone else look bad.
And just in case I didn't get my message through clearly, it's NOT cool when you carry your girlfriend's purse. It's demeaning.
