Starbuck's Turkey, Chicken Ham sandwich - say no

Sometimes Starbucks makes me happy and sometimes THIS.

What the hell is that? It's a blob of egg, lots of mayonnaise and flimsy HALF slice of chicken ham. The small slice of Turkey thingamajig is underneath the egg and does not contribute to the taste at all.

Kuretake's Sukiyaki Meal Set good for two

We're back in Kuretake for another meal set! (We got a Bento Box the last time).

Sukiyaki good for 2 persons.

Here's the complete Sukiyaki Meal Set:
1. Sukiyaki smack in the middle of the table
2. A huge bowl of rice
3. Two Chawanmushi (egg custard)
4. A small sashimi sampler plate
5. Miscellaneous side dishes
Here's a separate order of sushi sampler. It's good for only one person, or if you're actually the type who "tastes" things instead of actually eating them. I'm not saying that's a bad trait... I'm just saying that's not how I handle food.

Illy's coffee and cake and pasta

On the left is a cheesy Strawberry Cheesecake that I only mildly enjoyed. It's not the mousse type, but the solid cheesecake type that Burgo also has. In comparison... I'd still go for Burgo's Raspberry Cheesecake though.
On the right is my Caffe Latte with a biscotti. It's better than Starbucks'. I'm beginning to learn that Starbucks doesn't really have monopoly over good coffee - we'd be trying out Tully's and Mary Grace's soon! It's more exciting to hang out it other spots.

This is the cappuccino, also with a complimentary biscotti. I don't know much about cappuccinos but  I did like this one. I just remembered that their coffee didn't make me hyper -- that usually happens with Starbucks drinks.

Here's their awesome lasagna!!! I just had Amicci's Spinach lasagna and  Illy's is at least three times better than that. It's the Filipino type of food that makes you keep eating even though you're full.

My Chicken Pesto Sandwich - because Starbucks won't give me enough Pesto

So I'm done complaining that Starbucks used-to-be-awesome Chicken Pesto sandwich doesn't have enough pesto. I finally made my own, ended up saving my breakfast money!

All from the grocery:
1. Village Gourmet's parmesan focaccia bread
2. Sharon's pesto with tinapa (nice flavor addition!)
3. Chicken breast -- you can grill it or fry it in olive oil (I had the latter)
4. Cheese! I forgot the brand, it's in a round cardboard container and it has triangular shaped cheese inside worth Php50 with 8 pieces inside.

My nephew got a haircut so I made him a mustache!

His dad also has receding hairline... but his seems more pronounced. I have a video that shows the back of his head and it was cut [too] high - made him look like Hitler more. He actually enjoyed the electrical tape and was concerned that it wasn't sticking on properly - he kept on asking me to put it back.
